Wealth firm sets up Aussie expat tax division

By Robbie Lawther, 18 Jan 23

It will be run by former EY director of advisory services

Atlas Wealth Group has unveiled a tax advice division to bolster its offering for Australian expats.

This is following increasing demand from the expat community and the changing complexity of tax legislation.

Ben Turner will be managing director of Atlas Tax and will lead the team providing tax agent services for its clients. He was previously at EY, where he was director of advisory services based in Adelaide.

The division will offer a range of services to Australian expats including:

  • Australian tax briefings;
  • Australian tax returns;
  • Pre-departure and repatriation tax advice;
  • Employer advice;
  • Australian Taxation Office (ATO) disputes; and
  • ATO private rulings.

Atlas Wealth Group is made of Atlas Wealth Management, Atlas Tax and Atlas Mortgages. It works with Australian expats in over 45 countries.
