The platform, which includes marketing and third party administration services, is available to managers looking to offer a wide range of fund types, including long only funds, alternative funds or more esoteric investment strategies and provides both retail and institutional share class options.
Brendan Adams, VAM’s global fund development consultant, said: “In reviewing the offshore fund management business it became clear that some of the smaller fund managers are suffering under the weight of regulation and administration. In addition, increasingly, they need to widen their distribution and yet have limited resources to commit to this area.
“At VAM we have already made the investment not only in our Ucits IV platform but in developing a strong distribution network. We have the capacity to take on more funds and the associated marketing and administration that this entails. Having recognised that many other organisations would benefit from our in-house services, these are now being made available to them.”
