Six of the best US ETFs

Passive funds have enjoyed a stellar time in the US as valuations ride higher and higher. Here, IG Group’s Oliver Smith looks at the six best ETFs to access booming US markets.
In the saturated market of US passive funds and ETFs, Smith points out the iShares Core for tracking the S&P 500.
Fees are low and Smith dubbed it a “solid” choice in a highly competitive market.
He said: “With fees of just 0.07%, a bid-ask spread of 0.04% and outperformance of benchmark of 2.1% over the past five years, this a solid choice to get market cap index exposure to the US.
“It re-invests its dividends, which should also help lower transaction cost for long-term holders.”
