Former Towergate Financial technical director Mitch Hopkinson, has today joined the British division of the deVere Group as a managing partner.

Hopkinson’s brief will covers the East Midlands and he will report directly to Kevin White, who has headed the operations in the UK for the past 18 months.

Prior to that, White worked for deVere in Zurich and Barcelona while Hopkinson’s career history has encompassed stints at several blue chip financial services companies including American Express, Midland HSBC and Barclays Life.

Mike Coady, deVere Group director said Hopkinson "is one of the most-respected IFAs in the industry."

deVere is to open a further two offices in the UK later this year, including one in the East Midlands, and will relocate to larger premises in the City of London in Quarter 4 to accommodate the additional 50 advisers they are in the process of recruiting.
