Weeple held a number of positions at Standard Life, including director of equity research, and joined Henderson’s Edinburgh-based team this week.
The team manages the Henderson Global Growth fund and the Henderson Gartmore Global Growth fund, as well as supporting the growth arms of other funds.
Natixis Asset Management Asia
Natixis Asian unit has appointed Chong Chou as its Singapore-based head of Asian equities management.
He assumed his role on 2 April and is responsible for managing Asian equity funds, with assets under management of around €500m ($550m).
He replaced Francois Theret, who will remain with the firm but will be returning to Paris. Chong was previously a Singapore-based investment director for Asia equities at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he co-managed a team of 40 staff.
Franklin Templeton Investments
Franklin Templeton Investment has named Simon Coxeter as managing director and head of investment solutions, effective 4 May. He is responsible for developing and managing multi-asset, multi-strategy investment solutions for institutional and retail clients in Asia, excluding Japan and Australia.
The role is newly created, according to a spokeswoman of the firm, who noted that the firm already has multi-asset capabilities. She added that there has been an increasing specialisation in the teams as they mature and respond to client needs. Before Franklin Templeton, Coxeter was a principal for the investment arm of consultantcy firm Mercer.
Neuberger Berman
Neuberge Berman has appointed Jonathan Bailey as its New York-based head of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing. He will be responsible for working with the firm’s investment teams and research departments to further incorporate ESG principles into its equities, fixed income and alternatives platforms.
