In addition to his new responsibilities, he continues to lead the Macquarie Investment Management Korea business.
Bas van Buuren will join the firm in late June as head of Asia distribution and brings with him more than 18 years’ experience in similar roles. Reporting to Jacobsohn, van Buuren will focus on the distribution strategy in Asia.

South Africa Revenue Service
The acting commissioner of South Africa’s tax authority has had his appointment extended for an additional 90 days.
Mark Kingon was given the temporary assignment in March after Tom Moyane, a Jacob Zuma appointee, was suspended following allegations of maladministration.
A permanent replacement cannot be named until Moyane formally leaves office. However, as long as he is on suspension, the role is not technically vacant and a new commissioner cannot be appointed.
As Moyane is contesting his suspension, the role cannot be filled for more than 90 days at a time.
BNP Paribas Asset Management
BNPP AM has named Fabien Madar as co-head of distribution Europe covering southern Europe, within BNPP AM’s Global Client Group.
