Shah will remain investment director of the firm, while Morilla-Giner moves up from head of equities, commodities and alternative investments, a role he has held since joining L&C in 2008.
In his new role Morilla-Giner will continue to look after L&C’s suite of equities and commodities funds, but in addition he will be responsible for shaping the firm’s macro-economic views and for providing the framework for asset allocation decisions.
The core London & Capital Star Equity Portfolio, which was launched in 2009 and is managed by Morilla-Giner, returned 13.09% and 17.29% in 2010 and 2011 respectively, according to the company, testament to Morilla-Giner’s track record.

London & Capital have a largely service clients from the UK, Europe, South Africa and through a relatively new office in Hong Kong. The company also has a significant number of US clients and recently opened an office there, although it later decided this not required to service its US clients and subsequently closed the office.
Prior to L&C, Morilla-Giner worked at JPMorgan Asset Management, Omega Capital and Pragma Wealth Management.
