The private bank’s new office will provide local, independent wealth management services to its clients in the Rhine-Neckar region, a region which Julius Baer said carries “significant economic clout”.
Julius Baer added that, despite the wealth in the area, there are currently only a handful of private banks operating there.
Earlier this week, Julius Baer confirmed it had been served with a writ in Singapore for almost S$100m ($80m, £50m, €58m) – a claim which it said it would “contest vigorously”.
