Access Portfolio, as the bond is known, is available in US dollar, euro and pound sterling.
It comes in three different charging structures (Access Portfolio 5000, Access Portfolio 8000 series and Access Portfolio Plus), which ITA says will suit the requirements of each particular investor.
The Cayman Islands-based group says the structure provides investors with an open architecture platform and a tax-efficient environment, along with the capability to manage and control a variety of assets wrapped in one holding vehicle.
Last month, ITA appointed Ex-Friends Provident International general manager David Knights as head of Asia distribution to spearhead the new product.
Managing director Bob Pain, to whom Knights reports, described the role as having a “particular emphasis on developing distribution in the offshore expatriate market”.
ITA says the product will complement the needs of international investors looking to invest across a wide spectrum of investments such as stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds and structured notes.
Ariel Amigo, chief marketing officer, said: “We believe that the addition of Access Portfolio supports the innovative mission of the company by providing a variety of opportunities for investors to diversify and control their investments.”
Investors Trust Assurance is an international insurance company licenced and regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. It specialises in the provision of investment-linked insurance products and is rated “Secure” by A.M.Best Company.
