iomba appoints zurich chief as president

By International Adviser, 29 Sep 11

The Isle of Man bankers association has appointed Zurich Bank Internationals chief executive Mark Waterhouse for a second term as its president.

The Isle of Man bankers association has appointed Zurich Bank Internationals chief executive Mark Waterhouse for a second term as its president.

Waterhouse was a founding member of the Association in 2000 and became president in its inaugural year. He has now again taken the role succeeding John Coyle, CEO Standard Bank, Isle of Man.

In accepting his appointment Waterhouse said: “As banking has come increasingly under the spotlight over recent years it has been necessary for successive Presidents of the IOMBA to also give an increasing amount of time to the role. Each successive President has risen to the challenges faced during their term of office and I too hope I can rise to the current challenges facing the banking movement.”
