The new name uses the Japanese word to describe “a sudden flash of enlightenment”. In addition to the new name, the company has also revamped its website and introduced new advertising branding.
Satori currently distributes three funds, the Apollo Multi-Asset Fund, the Exigo Global Arbitrage Fund and the Magma Fund, although the company said it is hoping to be distributing a new fund in the near future.
Neil Baskerville, one of the founders of Satori, said the new name “represents a new direction for the company as well as supporting their underlying ethos, which is to distribute a range of innovative funds that offer investors something more creative and inspirational than competitors”.
In addition, Paul Glen has been hired as a sales manager based within the firm’s Malaysia office to support the company’s growth throughout Asia.
