idad to target far east with partner invictus

By Mark Battersby, 7 Jan 13

Investment Design & Distribution (IDAD), the UK-based structured products specialist, has teamed up with The Invictus Partnership to develop and distribute structured products in the Far East.

Investment Design & Distribution (IDAD), the UK-based structured products specialist, has teamed up with The Invictus Partnership to develop and distribute structured products in the Far East.

The Invictus Partnership, a global fund distribution company, was founded last year by three former employees of Synergy Partnership including Roger Clarke, the former Hong Kong-based sales director for Miton Asset Management.

IDAD was founded by managing director Clive Moore in 2002 and it has since launched over 330 investment products.

Moore, who has over 20 years of experience including senior roles in multi-national banks and insurance groups, claims to have identified which structures work well over time in terms of counter party risk and the payoff for investors.

He said: “We haven’t promoted life settlement funds or illiquid property or timber funds or ‘cautious’ funds with very high returns or any other of the many investments that have lost clients considerable sums of money and embarrassed advisers in recent years.

“Some of our competitors seem unconcerned about the fate of the investor, with products designed to generate high commissions with little regard for the complexity or level of risk investors will endure.”

Clarke said that “structured products can be a complicated investment area” and that IDAD had a proven track record going back to 2002.
