The new Asset Builder Portfolios are available through FPI’s Dynamic Portfolio Planner International (DPPi) tool, which was launched in 2008 to provide advisers with risk profiling, financial planning and target asset allocation models.
FPI said the application uses historical and forward-looking analysis of core asset classes to develop “efficiently balanced asset allocation targets for identified client risk profiles”. A stochastic model provides probability assessments in meeting client specific financial goals. Both these tools have been developed by UK-based software provider Distribution Technology. OBSR selected the portfolios from FPI’s global mirror fund range.
Jim Henning, funds marketing and research manager at FPI said: “The combination of DPPi’s sophisticated asset allocation guidance with the new fund-blending expertise from Morningstar OBSR means that FPI’s online portfolio construction service really is a most compelling proposition for professional advisers. We are offering the right tool set for advisers to navigate their client portfolios through uncertain times.”
