This is the company’s seventh office adding to Hong Kong, Singapore, Chennai in India, Brno in the Czech Republic, London and Woking in the UK.
The Zurich office follows the 2011 launch of a data centre in the Czech Republic and is part of FE’s strategy to gain a stronger foothold in the region.
The Zurich office will help FE’s clients in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, and will grow FE’s business in German-speaking Europe. Alex Kozacenko, head of Sales for Switzerland, will lead the team and is relocating to Zurich at the end of February.
Last year, FE launched a range of German language products and services including its Analytics database of investment fund performance, analysis and charting tools, web tools, document production and data partner services.
Kozacenko said his company was seeing increased demand for its data partner services which required an in-depth knowledge of local markets.
