The asset manager said five of its funds received registration from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), this week.
The funds are:
- Renaissance Russian Debt Fund
- Renaissance Russian Equity Allocation Fund
- Renaissance Sub-Saharan Fund
- Renaissance Cautious Managed Fund
- Renaissance Frontier Markets Fund
The funds, which are domiciled in Luxembourg, are also distributed in Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Adrian Harris, head of distribution at Renaissance said: “The registration of our funds in Switzerland means we are able to build on the strong foundations and relationships we have already established across Europe.
“Switzerland is a very important market and we will now be able to target the large distribution platforms to reach the sophisticated investors who share our excitement for the spectacular growth prospects for Africa and other frontier markets.”
