Catachanas, whose title will be senior business developer, previously worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was responsible for global banking relationships as well as wholesale and institutional business in the UK, Greece, Cyprus, Belgium and Luxembourg.
His career also encompasses stints at Credit Suisse Securities and Deutsche Bank Global Markets.
Hideto Yamamoto, chief executive and chief investment officer of DIAM International, said Catachanas was an important addition to the team as it “continues to grow its presence in the EMEA market”.
