In the investment world, costs are not the sexiest of subjects. People want to talk about double-digit returns, not costs. However, if there is one certainty about investing, it’s that clients will have to pay costs.
Although costs are much more than just fees for advice, they are also the only factor clients have any control over. And while spending money on advice that adds value is money well spent, costs are usually the one thing that the salesman (or adviser) does not want to talk about.
But if they are managed then investors have the best chance of obtaining a better return.
