axa im strengthens asian fixed income team

Axa Investment Managers has strengthened its Asian fixed income team appointing Jim Veneau as head of credit Asia and Christy Lee as a portfolio manager.
Both Veneau and Lee are based in Hong Kong and report to Rob Andrew, head of fixed income Asia.
Veneau’s focus will be managing Asian fixed income credit portfolios and developing Axa IM’s Asian Fixed Income credit strategy.
Before joining Axa IM, Veneau was investment director in HSBC Global Asset Management’s Asian fixed income team from, responsible for managing both high yield and investment grade credit mandates.
Lee most recently was as an associate portfolio manager at UBS Asset Management in Hong Kong with portfolio management and research experience covering Asian high yield and investment grade credit. In her new role, Lee will be responsible for the development and execution of credit strategies with a focus on the pan-Asian credit market.
As a part of Axa IM’s commitment to developing its presence in Asia, the firm moved its fixed income team from Singapore to Hong Kong in 2013 and hired Rob Andrew to head the team.
