Ardel makes senior appointments to build services

By Mark Battersby, 6 Sep 12

Guernsey-based Ardel has put in place a new senior management team to grow its trust, corporate and fund administration services.

Guernsey-based Ardel has put in place a new senior management team to grow its trust, corporate and fund administration services.

The new chief executive is Rick Brooks, who joined the company as chief operating officer in 2004, having previously worked at Coutts in Guernsey.

He will have responsibility for strategic and tactical corporate development, product development, strategic business intelligence and operational management across Ardel’s business areas and jurisdictions. Ardel has an office in Geneva with a staff of 12 and also a presence in the UK and New Zealand.

Brooks worked for over 20 years in operational roles across the UK, offshore and onshore Europe and he is a member of the Institute of Directors, the Institute of Financial Services, the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and the Business Continuity Institute.

Meanwhile, Richard Agnelli takes on the role of operations director for Ardel Trust Company, responsible for the company’s day-to-day worldwide operations and heading up its company secretarial, banking and accounting teams.

Agnelli previously worked for a number of Guernsey companies in various fiduciary administration and client relationship management roles up to director level. He joined Ardel as an associate director within the trust administration business in 2002, subsequently becoming increasingly focused on business operations, with particular expertise in project management, developing systems and data mining.

Ardel Holdings was born out of the management buyout from the Bachmann Group in April 2010. Since the business was founded in 1974  it have grown to become a large independent trust and corporate services and fund services companies in the Channel Islands with over 100 staff and a large international private and corporate client base.
