Brown Advisory, an independent and privately held global investment management firm that oversees $151.8bn in client assets globally, has appointed Andy Nickson as UK intermediary sales director.
Nickson joins from Fidelity International, where he played a key role in developing new client relationships and strategy across future growth areas for the company.
In his new role, Nickson will work closely with Brown Advisory’s investment and business development teams to add further expertise and insight for clients located in the UK.
Based in the firm’s London office, he will support the continued growth of Brown Advisory’s international business, which launched in 2008 and now manages approximately $23bn on behalf of clients through a growing offering of global equities and fixed income strategies.
At Fidelity International, Nickson was a sales associate director for nine years, responsible for developing relationships with wealth manager clients, global financial institutions, fund of funds and family offices across London and Ireland.

Enhancing our team remains a key focus as we continue to deliver exceptional service and strong investment returns for our clients.”
On joining Brown Advisory, Nickson said: “Brown Advisory has seen significant international growth over the past 15 years, which is testament to the quality of their investment approach and the deep expertise of the team that drives it. This is a hugely exciting time for the firm as it continues to identify and create the investment strategies wanted and needed by clients, and I look forward to being part of the Brown Advisory team and making my own contribution to their great success story.”
