By Editorial Staff, 10 Jun 24

He previously worked at Wellington Management International

Allspring Global Investments (Allspring), a global asset management company with $570bn under advisement, has named Francesco Monge as sales director for the Middle East and Africa.

In this role, he will lead strategy and execution in these regions as part of the International Client Group, based in London and reporting to Andy Sowerby, head of the International Client Group.

He joins Allspring with over 30 years of experience in the industry and an established track record of leading institutional sales across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

He previously worked at Wellington Management International, where he served as managing director overseeing the company’s institutional business in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Before that, he was at Citigroup, where he served as asset management director for Southern Europe and the Middle East. He began his investment industry career in 1993.

“I am delighted to welcome Francesco to Allspring,” Andy Sowerby commented. “I believe his impressive background, proven track record and deep expertise will be incredibly valuable as we continue to evolve the company’s institutional business to help investors pursue both financial returns and positive outcomes.”

Francesco added, “I look forward to joining Allspring at this time. The firm has an impressive range of investment capabilities that are very well suited to investors in the Middle East and Africa. As an independent asset manager at scale, I believe that Allspring has much to offer, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues and clients to further develop the business.”
