First State chief executive Mark Lazberger said the new permanent presence in Frankfurt, having operated in the German market since 2001, follows the opening of its Paris office earlier this year.
“Over the coming months, we will focus on developing our existing client relationships and acquiring new institutional clients in Germany, particularly in relation to our emerging markets debt capability. This team, led by Helene Williamson, was established in autumn last year,” said Lazberger.
In addition, David Gaschik has joined First State as the sales manager for Germany, reporting to Marc Bishop, sales director, Europe.
Gaschik previously spent ten years at UBS’s German business where he was head of wealth Management distribution and head of private banking clients.
