By Sonia Rach, 3 Nov 17

Vanguard has launched two global Ucits corporate bond funds.

Vanguard has launched two global Ucits corporate bond funds.

The Global Corporate Bond Index Fund offers access to investment grade debt from companies in developed and developing markets worldwide. The Global Short-Term Corporate Bond Index Fund is a passive option and will invest in one to five-year corporate bonds.

Vanguard’s fixed income products have approximately $1.2trn (£911bn, €1.03trn) in assets under management (AUM) globally as of 31 July 2017.

The funds will have an ongoing charges figure (OCF) of 0.25% for investor share classes and 0.20% for institutional.

They will track Bloomberg Barclays’ indices and will be available in the UK and Europe.

Paul Malloy, head of fixed income for Vanguard in Europe, said: “These new funds sit alongside our existing range of indexing tracking fixed income mutual funds and ETFs, as well as our recently launched active Vanguard Global Credit Fund, in providing options for investors looking to put together balanced, diversified, long-term portfolios.”

Earlier this year, the firm launched its first active fixed income fund, Vanguard Global Credit Bond Fund.
