US in the news: Bluespring Wealth Partners buys advice firm

A round-up of people moves and M&A deals across North America

Bluespring Wealth Partners

The firm has acquired wealth management firm Security Financial Management for an undisclosed sum.

Established over 30 years ago, Security Financial Management has an office in Minnesota and three Florida offices, with more than 15 financial professionals.

The firm is led by co-founders Dave Allen and Frank Lovaglio.

Security Financial Management is Bluespring Wealth Partners’ third acquisition in 2022.

Bluespring Wealth Partners successfully completed five acquisitions in 2021.

Hightower

The wealth firm has made a strategic investment in Los Angeles-based Grant Tani Barash & Altman for an undisclosed sum.

The company provides high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients with personal chief financial officer services, including bookkeeping and accounting, bill payment, tax preparation and other concierge financial management capabilities.

The strategic partnership will provide Hightower advisers across the US. with access to business management and family office services for their clients and their families.

In joining the Hightower community, Grant Tani Barash & Altman will gain access to middle- and back-office resources and technology to further scale their operations.

People moves

Focus Financial Partners

Robert Smith of Scottsdale Financial Group has joined Focus partner firm TMD Wealth Management.

He joins TMD as insurance director and will continue to serve clients out of Scottsdale, Arizona.

California-based family office and tax professional Richard Welling, a family office and tax professional based in, has joined Focus partner firm NKSFB.

He joins NKSFB as a partner and will continue to serve clients out of Torrance.

RBC Wealth Management

The Miller-Bowles-Horn Group comes to RBC Wealth Management from Truist with more than 100 years of combined industry experience.

The team includes:

  • Martin Miller, senior vice president and financial adviser;
  • Bowlman Bowles III, senior vice president and financial adviser;
  • Matthew Horn, senior vice president and financial adviser;
  • Alex Maffett, first vice president and financial adviser;
  • Stephen Tucci, first vice president and financial adviser, who will be located in RBC Wealth Management’s Sarasota, Florida office;
  • John Hamilton, senior client associate;
  • Jessica Holmes, registered client associate; and
  • Matthew Allen, client associate.

Raymond James

Financial advisers Don Dentinger, Robert Cregor Jr and Rebecca Lovan have joined the firm.

Operating as RiverWealth Management Group of Raymond James, the Louisville-based team was previously at Wells Fargo.

The group is joined by client associates Taylor Jessie and Stacy Payne.
