The new site is described as providing a better showcase for the investment opportunities of stamps, coins and similar "heritage collectibles".
It was put together developed by the company’s digital team in the Channel Islands, to accommodate the growing market awareness of collectibles as an asset class generally, and Stanley Gibbons in particular.
"We needed to provide a one-stop hub for those looking to stamps and coins to diversify their investment portfolios," Keith Heddle, global investment director of Stanley Gibbons, said.
"The needs of the philately collectors and the high net worth investment client are quite different, but both are equally as important to the business of Stanley Gibbons. We have tailored our information and the website services to reflect that."
As reported, the company opened offices in Singapore and Brazil earlier this year, after having established its first Asia office in Hong Kong in 2011. The company’s shares rose 40% last year, as investors sought to take advantage of the company’s role in helping investors to diversify their investment portfolios with stamps and other collectibles, which are also often so-called "investments of passion", alongside such other asset categories as fine art, gemstones, jewelry and watches.
