Shackleton has acquired Norfolk-based Harrold Financial Planning adding £300m of assets under management.

It brings the number of deals completed to a total of 16 since Sovereign invested in it.

Shackleton CEO Paul Feeney (pictured) said: “This acquisition expands our presence into the east of England and aligns perfectly with our goal of being Britain’s financial adviser.”

HFP managing directors Neil Warne and Robyn Lovatt said: “We spent significant time evaluating companies that would complement our ethos and ensure we are able to continue offering a comprehensive range of services to our clients. Joining Shackleton allows us to provide the added resources and benefits that come with being part of a larger group.

“Being part of Shackleton will help us invest in and grow the business while ensuring our valued clients remain well cared for into the future.”
