Hindocha, who was also global director of consulting at Mercer and was responsible for the company’s global strategic research capabilities, starts at the asset manager next month and will report to executive vice chairman Massimo Tosato.
It’s the first time that Schroders has created a role that combines DC retirement planning and product development, although Schroder’s Gavin Ralston, who was promoted to head of official institutions last year, has been fulfilling this role on an interim basis.
In a statement,Tosato said that the role reflected the growing importance of DC to the firm.
