Based in Dublin, McLaughlin will report to Philip Harris head of UK private clients. He will work with the company’s client-facing staff in London as well as offshore to “develop, manage and enhance relationships” with intermediaries and advisers based in Ireland.
Before joining RBC Wealth Management, McLaughlin was an investor relations consultant at biotechnology company Elan, where he was tasked with developing the firm’s shareholder base in Europe. Prior to this he worked in a Dublin-based private family office where he was an investment adviser to an ultra high net worth Irish family for six years.
