By Gary Robinson, 22 Sep 25

Goddard replaces Andy McGlone, who after 31 years at Quilter Cheviot, will depart at the end of the month in order to pursue other opportunities

Quilter Cheviot has that announced John Goddard has formally been appointed Chief Executive Officer at Quilter Cheviot following regulatory approval.

Having joined the business at the beginning of September, Goddard, pictured above succeeds Andy McGlone, who, after 31 years at Quilter Cheviot, will depart at the end of the month in order to pursue other opportunities.

Goddard brings extensive experience and a strong track record in driving strategic growth initiatives across multiple businesses and jurisdictions, particularly across a 28-year career at HSBC, where he held several senior leadership roles, overseeing key developments within the Group.

Steven Levin, Quilter CEO, commented: “We are really pleased to have John take over as chief executive at Quilter Cheviot. The business has evolved and adapted and is now in a really strong position to deliver further growth. John brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience from his time in the industry and I look forward to working closely with him.

“I would also like to thank Andy for his leadership and significant contribution to Quilter Cheviot over his many years of service.”

On accepting the role Goddard said: “Quilter Cheviot is rightly recognised as one of the leading wealth management firms within the high-net-worth market, and I am delighted to be joining at an exciting time for the business.  As the market continues to evolve, we are in a great position to unlock opportunities for clients and deliver value through our quality propositions and services.”
