The deal to acquire Carlisle-based Saint & Co, announced on 11 July, will add £100m (€112m, $132m) of assets under advice (AUA) to the national financial planning business, which now advises on more than £2bn in client assets.

Saint & Co partner and adviser Philip Dhillon, adviser Trevor Iredale and a support team will all join OMW Private Client Advisers’ Cumbria regional hub.

This acquisition is the third OMW has made in 2018, having bought Edinburgh-based DG Pryde in May and Wiltshire-based A&M Financial Services in February.

‘Natural fit’

Dominic Rose, director at OMW Private Client Advisers, says Saint & Co is a “natural fit” with the firm and comes with a reputation for a professional and personalised service.

“Philip and Trevor bring high-quality expertise along with an experienced support team to Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers. We’re excited to welcome them all to the team,” Rose said.

Saint & Co partner and accountant Ian Thompson said : “Not only does the business share virtually the same location as Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers, it truly reflects and shares the values that we believe are core to our offering.”

“It is therefore fantastic that our clients will continue to enjoy an industry leading service going forward,” Thompson said.

Quilter rebrand

Last month, Old Mutual Wealth rebranded as Quilter after separating from its parent company.

Each arm of the business is now being gradually rebranded, with OMW Private Client Advisers set to become Quilter Private Client Advisers within the next two years.
