Currently head of sales for the EMEA region, Hoctor-Duncan has headed up the BlackRock’s UK retail business since 2007 having originally joined the firm 10 years earlier.

Hoctor-Duncan will report to Rob Fairbairn, head of BlackRock’s Global Client Group (GCG) and James Charrington, chairman of the EMEA region. He will also join the firm’s EMEA and GCG executive committees.

BlackRock also confirmed that Mark McCombe, chairman of Asia Pacific, will oversee the retail business in that region, while South America will be looked after by Armando Senra, deputy head of the Latin America & Iberia region.
