Premier Pension Solutions has dropped off the list of FEIFA members.
The chairman of the Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers (FEIFA), Paul Stanfield, confirmed today that the offshore pension planning firm “is no longer a FEIFA member”.
When International Adviser enquired why the company had been taken off the list, he said: “Our executive committee feels that it would be inappropriate to comment further on the circumstances that led to that situation. This is an internal matter and confidentiality needs to be respected.”
Stephen Ward is managing director of Premier Pension Solutions, and previously advised HMRC on Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) which were introduced in the 2006 Finance Act.
The firm specialises in advising on QROPS in jurisdictions such as New Zealand, Switzerland, Malta and Gibraltar, and also advises on QNUPS and UK pension planning for expatriates.
Ward said he has “no comment to make” about the company leaving FEIFA.
The association currently has 37 members on its list and, as well as providing a platform for its members to network, it aims to provide a voice for the European IFA community.
