Platform One opens additional UK office with new hires

By Mark Battersby, 12 Jul 24

The new space can fit around 40 to 50 employees

Platform One has opened a new UK office in Wimborne, Dorset and made hires to support the company’s growth.

The new space, which can fit around 40 to 50 employees, will be the home of its ‘back office’ functions and Platform One’s engine room; it hosts the dealing, customer support, compliance, CASS and finance teams.

The Salisbury office will continue to host the pension administration team.

The London office is the main hub for the sales, engineering and executive teams, but they also have representation in the other offices too.

Gary Ponsford joins as a product manager after many similar roles across major financial companies, such as BNY, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.

Amy Shovelar has begun her role as a CASS Analyst after 17 years at Quilter (previously Skandia/Old Mutual) where she held roles within CASS and Risk – the most recent being as a CASS Specialist managing a CASS Controls team.

The additions come after Joachim Miller’s recent move to Platform One. He became the firm’s head of regulatory operations after his compliance control officer role at Société Générale and 10 years at BNY, with a focus on governance and control.

CEO Alex Cowan-Sanluis (pictured) says: “We’re continuing on our growth path at Platform One and have thought about how best to keep our teams connected as we develop our products and keep innovating.

“This new office, alongside our fantastic new employees, proves our commitment to offering a first-class service and continued development of our products.”
