The first quarter of 2017 extended the hectic end to last year with plenty of macro and market events to keep fund managers on their toes. Here, based on data from FE Analytics, are the top 10 performing UK retail funds by three-month performance.
The Invesco Perpetual Asian Fund has performed impressively over the past year with returns of more than 50% against the IA Asia Pacific sector average of 35.1%.
Its strategy is investing primarily in shares of companies in Asia and Australasia, excluding Japan.
On Monday, it was revealed that long-serving manager Stuart Parks was due to stand down from his management role, but he will stay on at Invesco Perpetual as head of Asian equities.
William Lam, a fund manager at Invesco since 2006, will take over the management of the fund and its £494m AuM from 1 May onwards.
