Top 10 best performing funds in the UK

The first quarter of 2017 extended the hectic end to last year with plenty of macro and market events to keep fund managers on their toes. Here, based on data from FE Analytics, are the top 10 performing UK retail funds by three-month performance.
The Schroder Asian Alpha Plus fund secured its place in Q1’s top performing funds with returns of 14.9% against the sector average of 11.6%.
Managed by Matthew Dobbs, the fund aims to max out capital growth with a focus on Asia, excluding Japan.
Its main holdings in terms of geography are China and Hong Kong which each make up more than 20% of the fund. South Korea, Taiwan and India make up the rest of the fund’s top ten holdings.
It returned 40.4% over the last year, beating the IA Asia Pacific sector average by more than 5%.
