Momentum Pensions

Momentum Pensions has enhanced its UK operation with three senior appointments.

Paul Wright has been promoted to the board as director and head of operations (UK). Wright joined the firm last year and has over 30 years’ experience in management and administration of Sipp and SSAS business with AJ Bell and previously with Scottish Equitable.

John McCreadie has joined as head of sales (UK) where he will work closely with advisers around Momentum Pensions’ expanding Sipp proposition. In addition, he will offer technical guidance and support to advisers with international clients.

The third appointment is Danielle Walters who joins as business development manager for London and the southeast. Her role will see her building on her already strongly-established relationships with financial advisers and helping them deliver the best solutions to clients.

Blockchain

Former Barclays chief executive Antony Jenkins has resurfaced at digital currency start-up Blockchain, where he has been appointed to the board.

Jenkins was fired from Barclays in July 2015 after three years as chief executive. In 2015, the bank was fined twice by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority to the tune of £356m ($451m, €424m), the bulk of which was for foreign exchange manipulation.

Sandaire

Multi-family office Sandaire has hired Kevin Corrigan as chief investment officer from Lombard Odier where he was most recently head of fundamental fixed income. Corrigan brings with him 29 years’ experience, having previously worked at Goldman Sachs, Fischer Francis Trees and Watts, and JP Morgan.

He succeeds Marc Hendriks who is taking on the newly-created role of global strategist.

Australia Financial Services Council

The FSC has appointed Allan Hansell as its director of policy. Hansell has spent the last six years as senior manager, government and regulatory affairs with ANZ Wealth in Sydney. Prior to that he held a similar role at ING Australia, which was a joint venture between ING Group and ANZ.

Hansell joins the FSC with more than 25 years in politics and policy, in roles in government, industry organisations and the private sector.

Morningstar Investment Management

Morningstar Investment Management Europe has appointed Gavin Corr to the role of director, responsible for key client relationships for the company’s investment management business in the UK and Emea region.

Before joining Morningstar, Corr held several senior investment positions both as an equity fund manager with a focus on pan-European equities and as a member of various asset allocation committees.

First Names Group

First Names Group has appointed Simon Radford as a non-executive director to its board with immediate effect. He will also chair the group’s Audit and Risk Committees. A chartered accountant, he held senior roles in global accountancy firm Deloitte before becoming chief financial officer at a Jersey-based international fund administration business.
