Eastspring Investments
The Asian investment management arm of Prudential, Eastspring has appointed asset management industry veteran Virginie Maisonneuve to the role of chief investment officer.
Reporting to chief executive Guy Strapp, Maisonneuve will be responsible for managing all investments at the firm, including the firm’s equity, fixed income, asset allocation, private equity, infrastructure and onshore investment offerings. She will start on 11 January 2017.
Maisonneuve has almost 30 years of global asset management experience and most recently was managing director, chief investment officer of equities at PIMCO. Prior to this, she was the head of global equities, director and portfolio manager for more than 10 years at Schroders.
Intrinsic
Intrinsic, part of Old Mutual Wealth, has announced the appointment of Gill Davidson as chief risk officer. She joins from Tenet, where she held the role of group regulatory director. Davidson takes over from Wallace Dobbin and will join Intrinsic in late December.
A founding board member, Dobbin is retiring from full time employment, whilst continuing with his existing non-executive director commitments. He will remain with the business while Davidson transitions into the role.
Joining the Intrinsic board, Davidson will report to both Intrinsic chief executive, Andy Thompson, and Old Mutual Wealth chief risk officer, Iain Wright.
Schroders
Sok Mun Wong has joined Schroders as head of fixed income & foreign exchange trading for Asia. In this newly created role she will be based in Singapore, Schroders’ central trading hub in Asia.
Wong joins Schroders from Tudor Capital, Singapore where she was trader – head of Singapore execution team for the past two years. Prior experience includes The Rohatyn Group (TRG), ABN Amro Private Bank and Black River Asset Management.
Fidelity International
Fidelity International’s head of business development and strategy, Ed Dymott, is leaving the firm after almost 17 years to pursue other opportunities.
He joined Fidelity in September 2000 and has held a broad number of roles during his time at the firm, including head of UK fund partners for Fidelity’s platform businesses, and latterly head of business development and strategy, a position he has held for nearly four and half years.
Kames Capital
Philip Bach has been appointed head of active value property at Kames Capital, reporting to the firm’s property investment director David Wise. He will be responsible for all investment-related activity associated with the funds, comprising the Kames Active Value Property Fund (open ended), UK Active Value Property Unit Trust and Active Value Property Fund II (both closed ended).
He brings with him 23 years’ industry experience to his new role, having joined Kames Capital in 2012 from ING Real Estate Investment Management, where he was co-head of the direct segregated accounts team. Before this, he was an asset manager for Jones Lang LaSalle.
Further, Kames has strengthened its property team with the appointment of Rachel Robinson as a senior asset manager. She will report to Bach.
Robinson joins Kames from Aviva Investors where she was an asset manager in the high street retail and shopping centre team, working on the identification and implementation of strategic retail asset management initiatives. Before Aviva, Robinson was a property manager at Rubicon Retail and senior asset manager at Chartwell Land.
Carrick Wealth
Anthony Palmer has been appointed to the board of Carrick Wealth in the position of executive director: investments and products. Palmer has been with Carrick since its inception, providing product development, training and strategic input. He was quickly appointed a senior manager within the financial advisory,
His last position prior to joining Carrick was as managing director and global head of the alternative risk markets group at Deutsche Bank.
Prestige
Prestige Capital Management has named Jonathan Scott as chief operating officer at its Malta based, investment-operations office.
Scott has a career in financial services spanning over 16 years, split between the United Kingdom and the United States with international investment banking groups Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, BNP Paribas, and JP Morgan Chase.
