PEOPLE MOVES: Tilney, Quilter Cheviot, Willis Towers Watson

Six hires across the UK for Quilter Cheviot boosts its investment management team

Tilney Group

Frances Crozier has joined the UK-based investment management group as business development manager for London and the south-east.

Her role is a newly formed position created to support Tilney for Professionals business, a support branch for financial advisers, solicitors, accountants, trustees, US professionals and investment consultants.

Previously, Crozier was at Canada Life Investments where she was an adviser sales support.

Quilter Cheviot

Six investment managers have joined the firm, increasing its team to 162 members across Quilter Cheviot’s 12 offices.

Lawrence Cotton and James Hughes joined from WH Ireland where they held senior investment managers positions. Andrew Jones was previously at the Royal Bank of Canada holding a similar position. All three will be based in London.

Andy Smillie joined the firm’s Glasgow office from Tilney Investment Management where he was an associate investment manager.

Lorraine Antypova moved from Blankstone to Quilter Cheviot’s Liverpool business; and, in Jersey, Thomas Lovell left Rathbones as investment director to join the company.

Willis Towers Watson

Anne Swift has been recruited as a senior director to the firm’s advisory investment services team based in London.

She joins from KPMG where she served as head of DC Investment team.

Activa Capital

The French mid-market private equity firm named Alexandre Chollet as chief financial officer.

He will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities within the firms, focusing on administrative and financial departments, as well as investor relations.

Chollet was previously head of funds and portfolio at Nexicap Partners.

Bank of Asia

Senior banker Peter Reichenstein has been made president of the Bank of Asia – the fully digital cross-border bank – as of 15 March 2019.

The role is based in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. He replaces Wayne Yang, the outgoing interim president, who has moved back to Hong Kong to reprise his role as managing director and head of wealth management.

Reichenstein joins from VP Bank and Trust, also based in the British Virgin Islands, where he was managing director and chief executive.

Arbuthnot Latham

The private and commercial banking and wealth management branch of the Arbuthnot Banking Group has named Chris Reah its head of regional offices.

Reah joined the bank in 2014, following his role of head of the Exeter Office at Coutts and Co.

The firm has also promoted Andy Broughton to head its Manchester office.

Lowes Financial Management

Peter Collins joins the firm as business development manager to support Lowes’ recently-rolled out fund of structured investments.

He will engage with intermediaries and potential investors in the Lowes UK Defined Strategy Fund, a Ucits fund for advisers, fund managers and their clients.

Previous to his appointment, Collins was a consultant for Lowes for over 30 years.
