Schroders
Chris Durack and Susan Soh have been promoted to co-chief executives of Schroders in Asia-Pacific.
The current country head of Australia and country head of Singapore, respectively, will take on the role from the second quarter of 2020, while retaining their regional positions.
They will succeed Lieven Debruyne, who will relocate to London following his promotion to global head of distribution.
Sanlam
The South African financial services group has made a double top management hire.
Paul Hanratty will become group chief executive from 1 July 2020, while Abigail Mukhuba will take on the role of group financial director starting from 1 October 2020.
Current group chief executive Ian Kirk will stay at the firm until the end of the year to support Hanratty through the transition period and help the company during the coronavirus outbreak.
Hanratty has served as a non-executive director on Sanlam’s board since 2017.
Mukhuba will join Sanlam from mining company African Rainbow Minerals where she worked as finance director since 2017.
Nucleus
The adviser wrap platform has named Martin Ettles as chief risk officer.
He joins from Phoenix Group where he was director of conduct and compliance.
In this role, Ettles will be responsible for regulatory analysis, monitoring and overseeing compliance agreements.
Thomas Lloyd Group
Andrew Denham-Davies has left Brooks Macdonald after 15 years to join Thomas Lloyd.
He has been hired as a director at the firm, which specialises in global investment and financial advice focused on social and environmental change.
Ascot Lloyd
UK-based IFA firm Ascot Lloyd has recruited Gordon Kerr as acquisitions director.
He was previously at Deloitte where he held several senior positions during his 13 years.
Raffles Family Office
The Hong Kong-headquartered family office has appointed Marvin Koh as managing director and relationship manager.
Based in Singapore, he will be responsible for growing the firm’s ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individual clients and families across Singapore and southeast Asia.
Koh joins from DBS Bank where he served as a senior director for private banking.
Fairway Group
The Jersey arm of Fairway has promoted two people within its pension department.
Nicole Stower and Tricia Love will become senior pensions manager and pensions manager, respectively.
The promotions follow a push from the group to develop international retirement products.
