CGWM has appointed Michel Perera as chief investment officer. Based in London, Perera will succeed Nigel Cuming who is retiring in May 2017. Cuming will continue with the firm as a consultant for the next two years, based in the Jersey office.
Perera is an experienced investment strategist, who spent the past 19 years at JP Morgan Private Bank where he was the chief investment strategist (Emea) responsible for running investment strategy and overseeing tactical asset allocation decisions for discretionary portfolios within the region.
Indosuez Wealth Management
Indosuez Wealth Management in Hong Kong has named Stanley Yeo and Radhika Jasuja as senior directors, both effective from 6 February 2017.
Yeo brings with him more than 10 years’ private banking experience. Prior to joining Indosuez he was with ANZ Private Bank, working in both Hong Kong and Australia.
Jasuja previously worked at BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Singapore and Pictet & CIE Banque Privee in Hong Kong for over 10 years as a private banker.
Quaero Capital
Quaero Capital has appointed Amancio Perez as head of Iberian business development to enhance its presence in Spain, Portugal and Andorra, as well in Latam markets. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in the fund distribution business across Iberia and Latam.
Until recently, Perez was a senior sales manager at Pictet & Cie where he was responsible for developing private banking commercial activity in the Brazilian market.
Avignon Capital
European property investment and asset management company Avignon Capital has hired Nico Mercker-Sague as a senior asset manager for the firm’s Berlin office. His appointment marks the firm’s first hire in Germany, following the announcement last year that it would open an office there.
Mercker-Sague will lead the asset management activities for Avignon’s German portfolio. He joins from CBRE where he worked as a research analyst for the commercial real estate market and later in the advisory and transaction team, focusing on international and corporate clients.
Hawksford
Hawksford has bolstered its funds capabilities with the appointment of Simon Page as director of its funds division. Page will lead the fund services team and assume responsibility for managing divisional operations and the delivery of excellent client service to the business’s private equity and real estate clients.
He started his career at KPMG before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Cayman Islands in 2007 as a senior associate. Page moved to Jersey to join State Street, formerly Mourant International Finance Administration, in 2008 where he held numerous senior funds positions, most recently as vice president and head of private equity fund services.
