As first reported by International Adviser on Thursday morning the Dubai regulator appointed a new chief executive.
Dolfin
Dolfin has appointed Hay Hill’s Nick McCall as head of wealth management.
McCall’s career includes stints at Falcon Private Wealth and Clariden Leu and, before that, senior roles at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch.
Carmignac
Carmignac has created the role of chief economist for Raphael Gallardo. He will report to Frederic Leroux, head of Carmignac’s Cross Asset Team.
Gallardo joins Carmignac from Ostrum Asset Management (previously Natixis Asset Management). He began his career at BNP Paribas where he spent ten years before moving on to hold the role of head of macroeconomic research, first at AXA Investment Managers and then Rothschild & Cie Gestion.
Loomis, Sayles & Company
Loomis, Sayles & Company, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has said Kenneth Buntrock, portfolio manager and co-team leader of the global fixed income team, will retire in March 2019 after 21 years with the company.
In preparation for Buntrock’s retirement, longstanding portfolio managers Lynda Schweitzer and Scott Service will assume leadership roles effective immediately, joining David Rolley as co-team leaders. The team oversees approximately $29.61bn in institutional and retail assets for global clients.
Capital Group
Capital Group, has bolstered its growing fixed income capabilities, hiring Peter Becker as a fixed income investment director in Europe.
Effective from 17 September 2018, Becker will be based in London and work closely with Jeremy Cunningham in the investment specialist team.
Becker joins Capital Group from Wellington Management International, where he was most recently a managing director within fixed income product management.
Prior to joining Wellington in 2009, Becker was a fixed income portfolio manager for Aberdeen Asset Management.
