PEOPLE MOVES: Credit Suisse, Ascot Lloyd, Hawksmoor

Swiss banking giant reshuffles c-suite, as IFA firm names head of adviser academy

Credit Suisse

The Swiss banking group has made several changes to its c-suite.

Chief executive of wealth management Francesco De Ferrari has been promoted to chief executive of Emea, after serving in the role on an interim basis since January 2022.

Dixit Joshi joins Credit Suisse as chief financial officer, effective from 1 October 2022, from Deutsche Bank where he served as group treasurer over the past five years. He will succeed David Mathers, who decided to step down after 11 years in the role.

Francesca McDonagh will become group chief operating officer, effective from 19 September 2022. She was most recently group chief executive of the Bank of Ireland.

Lastly, Michael Rongetti has taken on the role of interim chief executive of the firm’s asset management division with immediate effect. He succeeds Ulrich Körner who was promoted to group chief executive. Rongetti will also continue to serve as head of asset management for the Americas and global head of investments and partnerships.

Ascot Lloyd

The UK-based IFA firm has recruited Duncan Gregory as head of adviser academy, which is set to launch in early 2023.

He was previously area head of academy at St James’s Place.

Hawksmoor Investment Management

Richard Pike has become interim head of investment management at the UK firm.

Over the past few years, he has held chair and trustee roles for several charities, after exiting Brewin Dolphin in 2016 where he was divisional director – head of charities south and south west for over 12 years.

AFH Wealth Management

Claire Spillane has been promoted to acquisition director at the advice firm.

She started at the company in 2014 as acquisition executive and then moved on to acquisition manager in 2015.

Dowgate Wealth

Schroders veteran William Wells has taken on the role of head of distribution at the London-based investment firm.

He spent more than 24 years at the asset management giant where, most recently, he was head of wholesale distribution for the Middle East.

Verdant Financial Planning

The Reading-based financial planning firm has hired Helen McCormick as director.

She joins from MKC Wealth, where she was an independent financial adviser.

Spectrum IFA

The international advisory firm has expanded its Portugal team.

Debrah Broadfield joins the company as a tax adviser and financial planner.

Synergy Financial Advisers

The Singapore-based advice company has appointed Joel Marshall as a relationship manager.

He was previously at Linc Financial, where he worked as a financial services representative.
