Baillie Gifford
Investment manager Baillie Gifford has appointed three new partners; Eleanor McKee, director with responsibility for clients invested in multi asset strategies; John Carnegie, director with responsibility for clients in the global alpha strategy; and Donald Farquharson, investment manager in the Japanese Equity team.
Partner Elaine Morrison will leave on 30 April 2016 after 28 years with Baillie Gifford. The total number of partners at Baillie Gifford will rise to 43 once the changes take effect on 1 May 2017.
Lendlease
Keith Low has been named head of asset management, Asia at international property and infrastructure group, Lendlease. He brings with him more than 10 years’ experience across Asia in retail development, asset management and investment management.
Most recently, he was based in Malaysia as general manager of retail development and the head of a joint venture to develop and manage the company’s first greenfield project.
Dechert
Dechert, a global law firm, has expanded its Financial Services practice with the addition of Michael Wong, who joins the firm in Hong Kong as a partner.
Wong’s practice focuses on fund formation, fund investments and retail fund registration. He covers a broad range of investment funds, including hedge, private equity, debt, real estate and venture capital.
Stephenson Harwood
Law firm Stephenson Harwood has strengthened its global private wealth team with the hire of associate Alice Vink in its London office. Vink specialises in tax and estate planning for high and ultra-high net worth individuals and joins the firm from Collyer Bristow.
