Sowerby was previously risk and compliance officer at the firm.

She will replace Cathy Dawson, who has retired from the company after 20 years at IFGL.

Dawson joined IFGL in 2002. She will continue as a non-exec on a couple of IFGL subsidiaries.

The Spanish life consolidator has appointed Jaime Kirkpatrick as managing director of CNP Partners, which has been renamed Medvida Partners, having completed the purchase of 100% of the company on 29 December 2022.

Jaime Kirkpatrick joined Medvida in September last year to prepare for the integration and business transformation of CNP Partners.

He was previously deputy managing director of transformation at Mutua Madrileña, and previously director of bancassurance and chief executive of Aegon Spain.

The multi-asset investment platform has named Dennis Austinat as its Dach region managing director.
