PEOPLE MOVES: Aviva Singlife, Square Mile, Hawksford

Singapore life insurer names group CIO, while investment director leaves research house

Aviva Singlife

The life insurance firm created by the merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife has named Kim Rosenkilde as group chief investment officer.

He had already worked as an adviser to Singlife on its investment and risk management strategy throughout 2020.

Prior to that, Rosenkilde held several executive roles at Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch and ABN AMRO.

Square Mile

Investment director Jason Broomer will leave the consultancy and research house in May 2021 to take a career break.

He co-founded Square Mile in 2013 together with chief executive Richard Romer-Lee and operations director David Pickles.

At the same time, former head of investments at Ravenscroft Mark Harries has been hired as chief investment officer, a newly created role.

Hawksford

The private client and fund services provider has promoted Gavin Wilkins to group chief commercial officer.

He joined the firm in 2020 as global head of client and intermediary relationships.

Queensgate Investments

The London-based investment firm has made a double senior hire.

Gary Jones will take on the role of chief operating officer while Daniel Peart will become general counsel.

They join from Aprirose and Blackstone, respectively

Deepbridge Capital

The UK venture capital investment management firm has added two senior professionals to its team.

Steve Shallcross joins as chief information and technology officer and Connor Grimes as associate investment director for technology.

Shallcross was previously senior vice president for technology and innovation at Cheshire-based tech company Afin Technologies, while Grimes spent the last six years as an investment manager at Seneca Investments.

Scottish Widows

Lee Badger has taken on the role of intermediary distribution manager at Scottish Widows, based in Bristol.

He was previously head of account management at platform Novia Financial, where he spent over a year.

Iress

Matt Lonsdale, the former vice president for sales and relationship management at BNY Mellon Pershing, has joined the firm.

He has joined financial services software provider as head of business development for wealth UK.

Rathbones

Rathbone Unit Trust Management has recruited Rahab Paracha as a sustainable multi-asset investment specialist to work on the Rathbone Greenbank Multi-Asset Portfolios, based in London.

She joins from HSBC Asset Management, where she served as a junior responsible investment specialist for a suite of funds.

Harbottle & Lewis

The UK law firm has strengthened its private capital offering with the hire of Marcus Parker as a partner.

He has over 20 years’ of experience in the private client industry and spent the last seven as a professional trustee in the Cayman Islands.

Cheshire Trafford UK

The IFA firm has recruited two independent financial advisers, Tom and William Arthur.

The father and son duo also bring their book of clients which adds $20m (£14.5m, €17m) in funds under administration to Cheshire Trafford UK.
