Having joined the insurance giant over 16 years ago, Evans has spent the last 10 years at Old Mutual’s Dubai office, most recently as an area sales manager spearheading its banking relationships in the region.
“Paul has gained a strong understanding of the local region during this period, and has developed many key distributor relationships,” said the company in a statement.
Evans role will involve strengthening key relationships with distribution partners in the region, including financial advisers and banks, it added. He will focus on growing OMI’s strategic focus on the high net worth individuals.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Roy has been announced as Evans replacement as the new area sales manager for the Middle East. Roy joined OMI Middle East more than two years ago as a sales consultant and has focused on developing relationships with banks.
Roy will report to Evans, while Evans will report to Dolan, who in January was announced as the replacement to Marcel Bradshaw and will continue to cover markets such as the Middle East, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Dolan said: “I am delighted to make these appointments, and it is testimony to the quality of our business that we can attract, retain and develop such great talent. This is an exciting time for our business in the region, with so much regulatory change afoot, advisers need increasing support from us and a proposition that helps them deliver positive outcomes for their clients.”
