Ahead of the launch of the Pacific North of South EM All Cap Equity fund, PAM has expanded the team with two senior hires. Paul McLernon has been appointed as chief operating officer and Ben Sears as head of UK adviser strategy.
McLernon (pictured) joins in early November from Pensato Capital where he was COO and equity partner. Prior to Pensato, he spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs as part of the prime brokerage and equity finance trading business.
Sears joined the firm in September to spearhead PAM’s expansion into the UK market. He previously worked at Shore Capital and before that, spent eight years at GAM where he worked alongside PAM chief executive Matthew Lamb.
Lamb said: “I am delighted that Paul and Ben are joining the business. Their arrival will help us to continue to focus on our primary goal of delivering outstanding investment solutions to our clients.”
Earlier this year, PAM became a partner in boutique EM manager North of South Capital, founded by Matt Linsey in 2004. The new fund will follow the same investment process that Linsey and his team used previously.
