The fund, which was launched on Monday, invests into a “select group of hedge fund advisers” that provide investors access to a variety of long/short strategies, but provides daily liquidity and full portfolio transparency. It also does not charge a performance fee, Neuberger said.
It is run by a total of 15 managers and advisers, including managing directors David Kupperman, Fred Ingham, Jeff Majit and Eric Weinstein, and senior vice president Ian Haas.
The fund was launched in response to client demand for single strategy portfolios, Ingham explained.
He said: “The current backdrop of high dispersion in equities has created a fertile stock picking environment, and we believe this is a timely point in the market to launch the Neuberger Berman Long Short Multi-Manager Fund”
The fund is part of the firm’s Irish-domiciled UCITS fund umbrella, Neuberger Berman Investment Funds.
