The Montreux Healthcare Fund uses a strategy of owning and operating quality care home businesses in the UK, which mirrors its offering in Luxembourg which opened three years ago.
The fund is seeking to allow life company access through their platforms so that IFAs can participate in the new institutional fund structure.
The fund has just bought the Regard Partnership making it the owner of one of the largest providers of specialist care in the UK, the company said in a statement.
Regard is a UK provider of high acuity residential care and supported living service operates across the UK from over 120 sites, providing hundreds of service users with care and accommodation.
Montreux Capital Management CEO Oliver Harris, adviser to the new fund, said; “The new structure compliments the existing one perfectly and allows investors more optionality in their investment decision. Returns will be driven by the Isle of Man while Luxembourg offers a strong, income producing instrument.”
He added that investors are recognising UK healthcare as an attractive investment proposition in these volatile times: “Few markets have such compelling growth prospects with the market set to double over the next 20 years. The inflation proofed income characteristics are proving attractive to investors in search of income and yield. We are on course to have over £500m of healthcare assets under management by the end of 2015 “
Montreux hired a number of senior staff last year.
