metLife appoints yong ceo for hk operations

MetLife has appointed Lennard Yong as chief executive of its Hong Kong operations, reporting to Nirmala Menon, head of designated markets and health, Asia.
MetLife said Yong “will be responsible for executing the corporate strategy to achieve profitable growth through diversification and ensuring the operational effectiveness of MetLife's Hong Kong business”.
He comes to MetLife from FWD (formerly ING) which he joined in 1999 as group commercial officer.
During his 14 year career at FWD, Yong held a number of senior roles including chief financial officer and co-CEO of ING Hong Kong and Macau. He left the firm as CEO of ING Hong Kong and Macau.
